INSTITUTIONAL DISTINCTIVENESS
Institution’s vision is to give a platform for the girl students to develop skills and contribute in her all-round development. The institution is having special focus on educating girl children. Students generally come from families where they are first generation graduates.
There are 4 study centres functioning actively in the college- Gandhi study cell centre, Vivekananda, Buddha and Ambedkar study centre which organise programme on a regular basis with a focus on the teaching of these great thinkers. These centres conduct seminar for the seminars for the students with different topics about the life and teachings of these great teachers.
Moral uprightness and human values are a major concern. The Arivu cell is conducting awareness program by visiting old age home & orphanage.
Department of commerce organised one day seminar. Health centre is conducting awareness on Health and Hygiene. Manasa cell is conducting counselling for students. Eco club is promoting environmental awareness. Different cell are conducting programs. Humanity forum is creating awareness about general election and its importance of voting.

PROGRAM DESIGN
1) Students are given opportunities to contest in college election and elected cultural secretary will conduct programs in the college. Students are made chief guest for the national festival like Independence Day, Republic day where they deliver speeches.
2) Conducting classes according to the Time-table, completing the portions in time, doing revisions and discussing the previous year question papers. Conducting Mid-semester Test, Preparatory examination and preparing them to face university exam with confidence. Evaluating the answer scripts and giving them suitable advice.
3) Conducting orientation program for students and parents to inform them through PPT about the facilities available in our college.
4) Morning assembly conducted for the students where they recite Sanskrit shlokas and songs on goddess saraswathi , state anthem , National Anthem followed by motivational Talk on Indian constitution Preamble read up.
5) Conducting inter class( 18-20 ) competitions to train them in various fields like Rangoli, easy writing, Debate, Mono acting, Skit, Songs , Dance, Quiz, Cookery, Handicrafts, PPT, Best out of waste etc. Students scoring highest prize is crowned as MISS. SAMSKRITI.
RECORDS AND DOCUMENTS ARE MAINTAINED
1) Attendance register – Well maintained register for all classes and all subjects.
2) Activity Register – Records are well maintained for departmental & all activities.
3) Library with useful CD’s for learning Language books with updated information, journals and newspapers is available for students.
4) Well furnished and comfortable seminar hall for conducting the program.
BEST PRACTICES-II
1) Business Lab/Language Lab students are prepared to make PPT on various topics related to syllabus and also on general topics like waste management women empowerment Etc.
2) PDP class trained students in communication skill, public speaking, group discussion etc.
3) Exit feedback is taken with different parameters about the teaching learning process.
4) Mobile canteen being arranged for the students.
5) Management is giving Endowment cash prize to the students scoring highest marks in university exam. Vidya shree award is given to the students scoring highest marks in all the three years of graduation.
6) Financial Assistant is given to needy students by the management and the faculty.
PROCEDURE AND POLICIES
The Infrastructure of the college caters to the growing needs of the students. The classrooms are occupied from morning to evening for teaching programme. The college ensures optimal allocations and utilization of the available financial resources for maintenance and upkeep of different facilities by holding regular meetings of various committees constituted of this purpose as per the requirements in the interest of the students. Library: The requirements and list of books is taken from the concerned departments in the process. The finalized list of books required are duly approved and signed by the principal.
Every year in the beginning of the session students are motivated to register themselves in library to the INFLIBNET. The library has the suggestion box installed to take users feedback. Their feedback helps in introducing new ideas regarding library enrichment. To ensure return of books No dues from the library is mandatory for students before appearing the exam. The proper account of visitors {Students and staff} on daily basis is maintained. Sports: Sports secretary is elected every year to maintain and conduct sports events. Apart from this sport teacher is assigned to guide students regarding the sport events. Every year athlete meet is conducted to ensure physical fitness among the students. Teachers are also involved to take part in the sports events. Computers: College has released funds for maintaining of computers in the college. Computer maintenance through AMC is done regularly and non-repairable systems are disposed off. Classrooms: The College has a building committee for maintenance and upkeep of infrastructure. At the departmental level concerned staff submits their requirements to the principal regarding classroom furniture and others. The college development fund is utilized for maintenance and repair of furniture and other electrical equipments. With the help of two fulltime sweepers cleanliness of classrooms are maintained. They are well equipped with modern tools of cleaning such as mops, gloves etc,. A complaint box is maintained in office in which students as well as faculty can register their problems which are resolved with a set time frame. Students are sensitized regarding cleanliness and motivated for energy conservation by careful use of electricity in classrooms. There are technicians, plumbers, carpenters appointed by management who ensure the maintenance of classrooms and related infrastructure.
